The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our plant's electrical systems. This role requires a deep understanding of AutoCAD, electric distribution systems, construction project management, design renderings, load and stress analysis and calculations, distribution specifications, field data survey photo, engineering blueprints, technical reporting, sub transmission voltage, overhead projects, cabling, project review, local state and federal, and electrical utility compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, design, and implement electrical systems in accordance with organizational needs, taking into account factors such as cost, availability, and energy efficiency.
- Utilize AutoCAD to create detailed design renderings and engineering blueprints for new projects and modifications to existing infrastructure.
- Conduct load and stress analysis and calculations to ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of plant systems.
- Manage construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform field data surveys and use the gathered information to optimize plant operations and systems.
- Prepare detailed technical reports documenting project progress, challenges, solutions, and outcomes.
- Review project proposals and plans to ensure they meet the necessary specifications and comply with all relevant regulations.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of electrical utility systems, including sub transmission voltage and overhead projects.
- Maintain knowledge of the latest advancements in the field and implement new technologies and methods as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in plant engineering or a similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design software.
- Experience with electric distribution systems, construction project management, and design renderings.
- Strong understanding of load and stress analysis and calculations.
- Familiarity with distribution specifications, field data survey photo, and engineering blueprints.
- Excellent technical reporting skills.
- Knowledge of sub transmission voltage, overhead projects, and cabling.
- Experience in project review and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Understanding of electrical utility compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
