Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, procedures, and systems to meet regulatory compliance and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations.
• Coordinate with various departments to develop and implement corrective actions for identified safety and environmental issues.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on safety procedures, hazard identification, and risk mitigation.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Participate in the design and review of new equipment and processes to ensure safety considerations are incorporated.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of safety procedures, incident reports, and compliance records.
• Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
• Collaborate with emergency response teams in handling HAZMAT situations.
• Continuously monitor industry trends, updates in regulations, and best practices in process safety management to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of safety performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in process safety management within the chemical manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
• Certified in HAZMAT handling or a similar certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough safety audits and risk assessments.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and guide staff on safety procedures.
• Proven track record in leading incident investigations and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Proficient in the use of safety management software and tools.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong commitment to promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
