This role involves working with new, current, and former employees to support the hiring, onboarding, and training processes. You will be responsible for researching, developing, and implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse and talented workforce. Adherence to all company policies and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations is essential.
Position will be 100% in- office with 30% travel requirements for recruiting and other company events.
- Oversee the entire recruitment and onboarding process, from development to implementation.
- Collaborate closely with the management team to gather detailed hiring requirements.
- Identify and apply effective recruitment methods and strategies tailored to the role, industry standards, and organizational needs.
- Manage job postings and advertisement campaigns.
- Screen applications and select qualified candidates, ensuring smooth job offer creation within our applicant tracking and onboarding system.
- Schedule interviews and oversee the preparation of interview questions and related materials.
- Partner with hiring managers and HR staff during the offer process, providing recommendations on salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other relevant details.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies.
- Coordinate and participate in job fairs, recruitment sessions, and special events.
- Complete any mandatory HR compliance training.
- Utilize social media for recruitment purposes.
- Handle incoming cold calls inquiring about open positions.
- Assist with various HR projects, including events, benefits open enrollment, employee communications, and company-wide meetings.
- Lead new hire orientation.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records.
- Compile and prepare data for statistical reporting on recruitment activities.
- Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate staff.
- Respond to frequently asked questions from applicants and employees regarding policies, benefits, and hiring processes, referring more complex questions to the HR Manager.
- Assist in preparing HR reports, including those related to new hires, retention, and turnover.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources, Recruiting, or a related field.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems.
- A valid Driver's License.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed throughout the Midwest and Florida.
- Experience with iCIMS systems.
- Certifications such as aPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and resilience in a dynamic environment.
- Strong team player.
- Self-motivated and highly organized.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, with a commitment to honesty and ethics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in various technologies, including Microsoft Office and other relevant systems.
