We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Service Manager to join our growing team in the Construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about the construction industry, particularly in the commercial roofing sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring a smooth flow of documents, accurate estimates, thorough inspections, and compelling proposals. This role requires a strategic thinker who can plan, organize, and establish objectives and goals to drive the service department towards success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the service department's daily operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Oversee the flow of documents, including estimates, inspections, scopes, and proposals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Plan, organize, and establish objectives and goals for the service department, aligning with the company's overall strategic goals.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular inspections and oversee the commercial roofing projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the service department team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Handle any escalated customer service issues, providing prompt and effective solutions.
- Prepare and manage the service department budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the construction industry, particularly in commercial roofing, to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry, specifically in the service department.
- Proven experience in commercial roofing is a must.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and establish objectives and goals.
- Strong experience in overseeing the flow of documents, including estimates, inspections, scopes, and proposals.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for project management and document handling.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer service issues effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications in project management or construction management will be an added advantage.
