Job Details
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and repair heavy-duty equipment and machinery, including hydraulic systems and pumps.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures and malfunctions, using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, using computerized maintenance management systems.
- Coordinate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
- Adhere to all safety standards and protocols, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
- Proven experience as a Service Technician, Mechanic, or similar role in the heavy equipment industry.
- In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems, pumps, and other heavy-duty equipment components.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment, and the ability to quickly and accurately diagnose and repair equipment issues.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to understand and follow technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Commitment to safety, with knowledge of relevant safety standards and protocols.
- Physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must have at least 2 years of relevant experience in Hydraulic, Pump, Mechanic, Heavy Equipment.
