Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, ensuring all accounting functions comply with regulations and standards of best practice.
- Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures.
- Conduct detailed account reconciliations and analyses to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Use financial modeling to simulate financial scenarios and predict future outcomes.
- Present financial information to the management team, providing insights to inform business decisions.
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
- Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest financial laws and regulations, and utilize this knowledge to ensure the company's financial management remains compliant.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including preparation of financial statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Experience with account reconciliation, financial reporting, general ledger, and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
