Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Surgical Tech to join our dynamic team in the fast-paced and ever-evolving medical industry. As a Surgical Tech, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons during surgical procedures and ensuring the smooth flow of operations in the operating room. This is a permanent position that offers stability, growth opportunities, and the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of patients.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other members of the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care and safety throughout surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room by sterilizing equipment, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies, as well as anticipating their needs and providing them promptly.
• Serve as a first assist during surgical procedures, ensuring proper tissue retraction, hemostasis, and wound closure techniques.
• Monitor and maintain the sterile field, adhering to strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Operate and maintain surgical equipment, including laparoscopic instruments, endoscopes, and robotic surgical systems.
• Prepare and transport specimens for laboratory analysis, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
• Assist with patient positioning and draping, ensuring optimal exposure and maintaining patient comfort and safety.
• Document accurate and detailed records of surgical procedures, including supplies used, patient vitals, and any complications or unexpected events.
• Continuously update knowledge and skills by attending educational workshops, conferences, and staying updated on the latest advancements in surgical technology.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Surgical Tech, with a strong background in first assisting and various surgical procedures.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is highly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile techniques.
• Proficient in handling laparoscopic instruments, endoscopes, and robotic surgical systems.
• Excellent understanding of surgical anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
