We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our dynamic team. As a Tool & Die Maker, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining the tools and dies that form the backbone of our manufacturing operations. This position is critical to our success, as the tools and dies you create will be used to manufacture high-quality products that meet our customers' exacting standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design and create new tools and dies using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Operate CNC machines to produce high-precision parts for tools and dies.
- Perform precision measurements to ensure tools and dies meet specified tolerances.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand the specifications and requirements of each tool and die.
- Maintain and repair existing tools and dies to ensure they continue to function effectively.
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and solve production issues.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Continuously improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and quality.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest tool and die making techniques and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker.
- Proficiency in operating CNC machines.
- Extensive experience in designing and making metal stamping dies.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and understand technical specifications.
- Strong skills in precision measurement.
- Proficiency in using CAD software to design tools and dies.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship or vocational training in tool and die making is preferred.
