The Chevron Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical Power Engineer will be a member of the Richmond Refinery Plant Support Designs Engineering team. They will provide instrumentation and controls designs support, playing a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, predictable, and profitable operation of the refinery. The engineer will work closely with Operations and Maintenance, evaluating plant performance and establishing work priorities. They will also be responsible for proactive design, engineering analysis, and project deliverables within their assigned area.
Responsibilities for this position may include:
Providing support for daily operation of process units and collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical teams
Offering field support to troubleshoot issues and develop solutions considering reliability, cost, operability, and safety
Managing Engineering Work Orders and developing purchase specifications for instrumentation and controls equipment
Leading or supporting unit downtimes/turnarounds
Providing technical guidance, recommendations, and troubleshooting support
Performing technical studies to improve plant safety, reliability, throughput, and economics
Managing small I&C capital projects
Supporting low complexity electrical power systems
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in complex process facilities (oil & gas, refining, chemical plants, LNG, etc.)
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
An understanding of refinery processes and equipment
Relocation Options:
Relocation may be considered.

Expatriate assignments will not be considered. Chevron is unable to sponsor employment Visas or consider individuals on time-limited Visa status for this position.

This position is located at Chevron's Richmond Refinery in the San Francisco Bay Area. Special Considerations:
Relocation Adjustment Allowance (RAA) may be available for those relocating from lower cost of living areas

Earn "compensatory time" during exceptional work periods
