About the team
Purchase inventory, materials, office supplies and capital goods ensuring material standards are met and non- conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized.
What you will be doing
• Develops purchasing programs for the corporation.
• Keeps records of all acquisitions to ensure purchases remain within budget and on schedule.
• Reviews pricing quotes, processes requisitions and completes purchase orders for clients.
• Resolves outstanding issues, complies with vendor requests and responds to client inquiries.
• Receives requisitions and checks each item for quantity, specifications and delivery requirements.
• Communicates with vendors to resolve purchase order discrepancies.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you bring
•Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
•Knowledge of supply chain or purchasing functions and procedures
• Knowledge of vendor relations
• Basic knowledge of project management methods and techniques
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various s levels in the organization, executive, management, and individual contributors
• Excellent problem solving, team and time management skills managing multiple deadlines for self and others
• Proficiency in evaluating the performance capabilities of subordinates as well as counsel subordinates in development and/or corrective discipline
• Proficiency in making projections of future expenses based on analysis of cost effectiveness of past expenditures
• Proficiency to operate independently
