Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

• Processes products to the John Crane paint specification procedure or customer specified spec.
• Preparation of parts, pieces, assemblies for painting, including loading / unloading parts for prep. Mixes coatings per manufacturer specs. Stores unused paint.
• Maintain accurate logs of all transactions and update logs in a timely manner, i.e. labor reporting, Paint logs, and Mill thickness recordings.
• Maintains and cleans paint equipment and paint areas.
• May be required to train other employees and help in other departments as directed.
• Work closely with supervisors and managers to complete assigned painting projects.
• Utilize high-volume and low-pressure (HVLP) paint spray equipment.
• Function effectively in a team and ensure the quality of all painted surfaces.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and housekeeping.
• Should be familiar with the proper disposal of paint and must maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and housekeeping.

The Individual

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience with industrial painting is required. Prefers 2-3 years of industrial painting experience.
• Must be self-driven.
• Ability to read specs of each work order and attention to detail.
