Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Processes products to the John Crane paint specification procedure or customer specified spec.
- Preparation of parts, pieces, assemblies for painting, including loading / unloading parts for prep. Mixes coatings per manufacturer specs. Stores unused paint.
- Maintain accurate logs of all transactions and update logs in a timely manner, i.e. labor reporting, Paint logs, and Mill thickness recordings.
- Maintains and cleans paint equipment and paint areas.
- May be required to train other employees and help in other departments as directed.
- Work closely with supervisors and managers to complete assigned painting projects.
- Utilize high-volume and low-pressure (HVLP) paint spray equipment.
- Function effectively in a team and ensure the quality of all painted surfaces.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and housekeeping.
- Should be familiar with the proper disposal of paint and must maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and housekeeping.
The Individual
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience with industrial painting is required. Prefers 2-3 years of industrial painting experience.
- Must be self-driven.
- Ability to read specs of each work order and attention to detail.
