Our Parts Manager will have excellent organization skills, attention to detail, the ability to work as a member of a team and understand the importance of inventory control.
The first and most important responsibility is having parts on hand for scheduled appointments and having them staged to increase the efficiency of our technicians and promoting good work flow through the shop.
The Parts Manager needs to have in depth knowledge of parts associated with off-road outfitting and the ability to research those items using available resources to maximize parts margin. They will need to be able to produce accurate electronic estimates for price and availability to our Service Advisors in a timely manner.
Daily tasks include but are not limited to the following:
- Providing cost and availability estimates from multiple vendors to other staff members that indicates the most efficient and profitable choices available.
- Ordering, receiving, stocking, and maintaining accurate inventory of parts using electronic shop management software
- Staging parts for technician use
- Maintaining adequate inventory of shop supplies through stock orders
- Using the internet to conduct research and order custom, specialty, and hard to locate parts
