Job Title: Food Service Worker I
Position Overview:
- Responsible for performing a variety of food service duties that involve simple and repetitive tasks to assure quality service standards. Works as a team member to provide quality and efficient service to the customer.
Location:
- Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
Schedule:
- Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
- Days will fluctuate based on the departments needs
Pay Rate:
- $17.50 Per Hour.

- Assigned station set-up with needed items for service including but not limited to all food and menu items, utensils, paperwork, and service ware.
- Food and beverages are stored and handled in compliance with all regulations and recommendations for safety and storage.
- Responsible for proper cleaning and sanitation of station. Displays proper use and knowledge of chemicals, equipment and personal protective equipment.
- Works in dish room performing assigned function ensuring trays, dishes and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized before returning to service Rolls silverware and lines trays as assigned.
- Disposes of garbage in appropriate manner.
- Restocks work area for next meal and maintains par levels according to set standards.
- Performs related work as required.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting and/or carrying objects weighing more than 50 pounds.
- Pushing and/or pulling non-motorized equipment (e.g., stretchers, supply carts, mops) weighing over 50 pounds.
- Stooping and bending.
- Reaching and grasping objects.
- Walking and/or standing for extended periods of time.
- Position requires working in an environment which is subject to drafts, noise, and temperature variations.
- High School Diploma Preffered.
- Six months of experience.
