Job Title: Food Service Worker I 

Position Overview:

• Responsible for performing a variety of food service duties that involve simple and repetitive tasks to assure quality service standards. Works as a team member to provide quality and efficient service to the customer.

Location:

• Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. 

Schedule:

• Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM. 
• Days will fluctuate based on the departments needs

Pay Rate:

• $17.50 Per Hour.

• Assigned station set-up with needed items for service including but not limited to all food and menu items, utensils, paperwork, and service ware.
• Food and beverages are stored and handled in compliance with all regulations and recommendations for safety and storage.
• Responsible for proper cleaning and sanitation of station.  Displays proper use and knowledge of chemicals, equipment and personal protective equipment.
• Works in dish room performing assigned function ensuring trays, dishes and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized before returning to service Rolls silverware and lines trays as assigned.
• Disposes of garbage in appropriate manner.
• Restocks work area for next meal and maintains par levels according to set standards.
• Performs related work as required.

Physical Requirements 

• Lifting and/or carrying objects weighing more than 50 pounds.
• Pushing and/or pulling non-motorized equipment (e.g., stretchers, supply carts, mops) weighing over 50 pounds.
• Stooping and bending.
• Reaching and grasping objects.
• Walking and/or standing for extended periods of time.
• Position requires working in an environment which is subject to drafts, noise, and temperature variations.

• High School Diploma Preffered. 
• Six months of experience.
