Sales Assistant/Warehouse Associate

Johnson Barrow, Inc. has been in business for over 50 years and has established itself as one of the leading Commercial HVAC Manufacturers Representative Firms in the Pacific Northwest. Over the past handful of years, we've expanded to Portland, Oregon, Eastern Washington, Boise, and Vancouver, British Columbia resulting in significant growth.

We are seeking an individual to assist our Parts Sales Department with inside sales & warehouse duties. Positions for this role are currently open in our Seattle and Portland locations. 

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintain overall standards of quality and organization in the warehouse. 
• Take incoming shipments and deliveries, determine where they need to be and who they’re for and notify accordingly. 
• Create Sales Orders to process sales requests for Customers and Internal Sales Teams. 
• Process sales order shipments, keep an eye on their status and ensure customer satisfaction. Send email confirmations as such. 
• Coordinate with Freight companies to generate BOL’s (Bill of Lading) and plan outgoing freight shipments. 
• Assess incoming freight shipments to ensure damage has not occurred and freight can be accepted or denied.  
• Weekly/monthly inventory the items on hand from our manufacturers and ensure accuracy in Business Central. 
• Adjust inventory for incoming stock orders, count the deliveries to ensure the shipments are correct, etc. 
• Be flexible, many days differ in responsibilities. Abrupt and vital shipments can and will occur. 
• Work hand and hand with the sales team when necessary. 
• Pick and tag will call items and maintain organization for customer pickup. Send email confirmations as such. 
• Make sure any necessary conversations and important updates are documented in their respective folders in outlook. Document as much as possible so when things go wrong, there is history. 
• Take charge in all things UPS. Including deliveries, outgoing, shipping label generation, Manufacturer returns, shipping internationally, etc. 

Qualifications

• Communicate clearly with customers. 
• Outlook / Dynamics 365 Business Central 
• Ability to safely lift up to 75lbs. 
• Ability to repeatedly climb ladders & stairs. 
• Warehouse experience is a plus. 
• Ability to operate a forklift (training to be provided)
