Our government rests on the foundation of citizens choosing the representatives who govern us. Consequently, the Johnson County Election Office manages voter registration, precinct boundaries, candidate filings, and campaign reports, and as mandated by the laws of Kansas, administers all federal, state and local elections for over 370,000 registered voters and for more than 2,300 elected positions in Johnson County.
The Election Training Specialist will assess, plan, implement and evaluate internal and external training plans for election workers and full-time and temporary staff.

Responsibilities include:
Bachelor’s degree in the following filed(s) of study is required: Organizational Development, Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Human Resources, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Instructional Design and Technology, Business Education or relevant field and two (2) years of relevant experience is required.
Knowledge of election administration and familiarity with and able to use Microsoft Office Suite, Articulate Digital Training Platform, Adobe Systems (Photoshop, RoboHelp, Creative Cloud, Actionscript, AfterEffects, Captivate, Dreamweaver); Micorosoft Visio, Snagit; Camtasia; Rise; Learning Management Systems; Moodle; Syberworks; Cisco Systems; HTML; JavaScript or similar programs is preferred.
Experience may be substituted for education. Education may be substituted for experience.
Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency.
