As the Director, Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Identify new technologies, products, and capabilities externally aligned to business strategy and priorities.
- Partner with business leaders to execute transactions (including licensing, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, co-development, co-marketing, or other structures).
- Lead all aspects of business development process including target identification, business case development, due diligence, deal structuring, negotiations, and transition planning.
- Lead cross-functional teams and ensure teams are following the appropriate healthcare guidelines (for example, HCC, Quality, and Regulatory).
- Work with J&J Legal, Finance, and other functional groups to assess, review, and execute opportunities.
- Provide recommendations to senior leadership on new strategies, opportunities, and tactics. Advise on priorities as well as non-value-added projects.
- Deliver oral and written presentations to management to obtain approval for execution and funding of new opportunities.
- Build external relationships via trade shows, conferences, networking, and other new sources of information, intelligence, and insights.
Qualifications:
Education:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred
Required Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years business experience
- Strong business, negotiation, influencing, organizational, project management, analytical, decision making, and influence management skills
- Effectively communicate and influence a broad variety of business leaders, both internally and externally and of varying levels from functional personnel to senior leaders of companies
- Prioritizing tasks, managing several projects at a time, and can eliminate unproductive, low priority, or low probability tasks and projects
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience in the healthcare industry
- Experience in corporate / business development (for example, licensing, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, divestitures, co-marketing, or other structures)

- The role is based on the campuses of either Raynham, MA, West Chester, PA, Warsaw, IN, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Raritan, NJ, or New Brunswick, NJ
- This role requires up to 30% domestic and international

The base compensation for the role is between $142,000-$244,950. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

- Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
- Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
- Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year
- Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
