As an Inventory Supervisor, you will be responsible for the effective coordination of incoming material receipt, material storage, material scrap, and disbursement of materials to the manufacturing floor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages personnel assigned to warehouse team including scheduling, training assignments, certifications, and time sheets
- Responsible for material scrap process within the manufacturing site
- Manages monthly material usage variance process including analysis, verification, and transaction execution
- Responsible for maintaining department spend within budgetary limitations and scope of authority
- Proficiency in preparing summary documents for an upper management level audience
- Possess the ability to comfortably work with numerous departments and represent Materials department in various roles including participating in product development, interacting with corporate legal, and working with Quality to improve product flow
- Aids in developing cost reduction plans and in leading improvement projects
- Reviews inventory, requirements, safety stock, usage, open orders, and lead times to assure product is available to support the operations of the plant
- Manages corrective action processes related to non-conformances and adequately resolves related issues
- Compiles and analyzes data related to procurement, scheduling and movement of materials and services to facilitate forecasting process.
- Collaborate with QA personnel, management, customers, vendors regarding defective or unacceptable goods or services to determine source of trouble and initiate required corrective actions
- Responsible for presenting business related issues or opportunities to next management level
- For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
- Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
- Demonstrate independent understanding and application of core GMP fundamentals, including but not limited to: Data Integrity (DI), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
- Performs other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications
- Vocational, Certificate, Technical or Associates Degree required
- Generally, requires (4-6) years related experience
- APICS CPIM certification desired
- Green Belt six-sigma certification desired
- ERP systems / concept knowledge desired
- Strong organization skills and an aptitude for planning
- Accuracy with attention to detail
- Proactive approach
- Persuading and influencing others
- Can drive continuous process improvements
- Experienced execution in ERP / planning systems user preferred
- Manufacturing experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry preferred
