Within the Strategic Customer Group (SCG), the Health System Value Transformation department is responsible for helping the Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies (JJMDC) strengthen relationships with leading health systems by bringing approaches and programs aimed at helping healthcare providers reduce costs, improve outcomes, and advance patient experiences. The department is responsible for the development and maintenance of the JJMDC U.S. Value Proposition which is designed to aid our Customer Management team in both differentiating, as well as protecting the value of our medical devices portfolio with strategic health system customers.
The Manager, Health System Insights & Strategy, is responsible for supporting deployment of health system insights and strategy to include content generation, advisory forums, industry roundtables, digital strategy, and on-going dissemination plan. The individual will monitor and analyze marketplace trends, understand health system customer needs, and deploy holistic strategies to help drive business growth and execute our JJMDC value prop. They will help identify and define health system and non-clinical stakeholder insights/needs, as well as facilitate an organizationally aligned plan to communicate/educate SCG stakeholders and business partners.
• Project management of customer forums, industry roundtables, etc. to include logistics, speaker management,
communications, and needs assessment process.
• Oversight and maintenance of health system landscape assets to reflect content evolution and version management.
• Responsible for copy review and approval process (EOS), ensuring that all content and materials fully comply with HCC and company guidelines.
• Lead health system insights and strategy deployment budget process.
• Help identify the appropriate external partners and SMEs to help build a robust insights competency
• Liaise with Strategic Health System Digital Strategy and Health System Value Prop leads to support strategic health system insights and holistic deployment initiatives
• Support SCG digital marketing initiatives to include web content updates, social media strategy including execution of health system targeted campaigns
• Adopt emerging technologies to gain insights, increase effectiveness of message delivery and maximize resources. (via Salesforce.com, etc.)
• Develop content for both internal and external meetings, trainings, etc.to help drive awareness of strategic initiatives and improve organizational competencies.
• Discover and apply organizational and process efficiencies and project learnings to drive continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of health care market insights and industry trends that effect health systems/providers, customer stakeholders, and JJMDC.
• Experience in marketing, program management, and/or healthcare management is preferred
• Ability to understand and translate both qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights to support decision-making is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and impact others. Strategic thinker with cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Keep up with industry trends related to healthcare industry as well as competitive products and programs.
• Develop skills and strategies to effectively pull through with SCG, franchise and COE business partners
• Deploy strategies and insights to CM&S team to drive awareness of JJMDC customer needs to further enhance JJMDC platform strategies
• Ability to network across internal stakeholders: SCG org and functions, key business partners and COEs
• Drive development of health system/administrator mindset in the U.S. Commercial organization
• Seen as a leader within the organization, strong brand equity, ability to drive alignment and decision making across a heavily matrixed organization with conflicting G&Os
• Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local company regulations, policies and procedures for Health Care Compliance
• Liaise with SCG and franchise stakeholders to include commercial teams, program teams, COEs and agency partners
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize demands across multiple stakeholders
• Keen ability and passion for uncovering root of problem and tenacity to drive to resolution across a matrixed organization
Qualifications
• A minimum of a BS/BA is required. An advanced degree (MBA / MS) is preferred.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant business experience with 3 years of experience in account management, sales, and/or marketing is required.
• Experience in the medical device and/or healthcare environment is required
• Experience with healthcare reform is required
• Experience in managing company or product brands so the market clearly understands differentiated value propositions and premium capture is maximized is required
• Strong strategic approach, business acumen and digital and analytical skills are required
• Ability to set strategies based on customer needs and business objectives
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal at all levels, internal and external, especially attuned to the needs of healthcare stakeholders/customers
• Ability to influence and collaborate in a multi-stakeholder environment
• Ability to interact with and lead at various levels of an organization, including executives, key business partners, and peers
• Must have the ability to make decisions independently and seek guidance where appropriate
• Strong time management and prioritization skills required
• This position will require up to 25% domestic travel
