Buyer/Consigner - RV Dealership

Description

As a recreational vehicle or travel trailer purchaser, the buyer will ensure timely valuation and processing of used consumer inventory brought into the dealership. The buyer achieves targeted agreed-upon purchasing goals that generate income for the department and company.

Essential Functions

• Obtain recreational vehicle or travel trailer inventory through company sourcing tools.
• Effectively follow purchasing process through a successful close to increase inventory and achieve buying goals, including timely completion of paperwork.
• Set and negotiate pricing of inventory.
• Understand reconditioning costs.
• Make financially sound purchasing decisions for the company.
• Provide exceptional internal and external customer service with the upmost integrity.
• Understand the dealer management software and inventory list.
• Continually improve buying capabilities in order to increase income and fill company needs in an effective manner.
• Develop and maintain a high level of product, market and industry knowledge.
• Proactively support and work with other employees, departments and/or locations to give the customer a seamless experience in ways that promote teamwork.
• Share, mentor, encourage and acknowledge other buyers and departments in meeting the needs of all stakeholder groups.
• Continually follow up on uncompleted buys with sellers to increase closing ratio and inventory levels.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with two (2) years purchasing or buying experience preferred.
• Understanding of retail and wholesale RV, marine, or auto sales processes.
• Web-based search applications technology preferred.
• Excellent analytical and valuation skills, with strong process orientation.
• High level of integrity and professionalism in dealing with confidential information.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of using computer applications and dealership related application systems.
• Adept in working with various personalities in a stressful, deadline driven environment.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
• Must have organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Salary : $85,000 - $150,000
