Job Overview:
The RN- Oral Surgery offers friendly, courteous, and confidential assistance to every patient/client to ensure that the patient/client has a positive experience while at Jordan Valley Community Health Center.

Duties:
- Carries out physician orders accurately, directly, and indirectly.
- Develops, discusses, and communicates a plan of care that is individualized for the patient reflecting collaboration with other members of the healthcare team to address all identified needs.
- Conducts ongoing assessments of the patient’s condition within timeframe specified by facility’s policies. Evaluates care provided and patient’s responses. Reprioritize care to meet patients and his/her family needs to ensure overall quality of care delivered. Reports patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift.
- Measures vital signs, interviews patient and family members to obtain accurate health information, performs intravenous therapy, assist with procedures, and performs treatment as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner.
- Understands the different medications, dosages and possible side effects specific to patient and administers medications appropriately. Observes patient response as evidenced by documentation in the medical record and lack of negative outcomes.
- Work collaboratively, maintain and coordinate communication among patient, staff, and physician as evidenced within medical record, client, and health care team feedback.
- Report patient needs/programs and observations regarding patient’s condition to the physician.
- Initiates emergency resuscitative measures according to protocols.
- Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team, to ensure quality care.
- Maintains confidentiality in matters related to patient and his/her family.
- Participates in staff development programs and pursues professional growth and development.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from RN program.
- 2 years related work experience.
- BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
