Job Summary
The Director of Access is responsible for managing operations of one or more practice sites and supervising concierge managers and support staff. The Director of Access position is an action-oriented role responsible for enhancing the client experience and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our concierge processes. A critical element of Josselyn's mission is to ensure that we create a reverberating positive impact on clients, an this includes both clinical and non-clinical staff while also optimizing the behind-the-scenes operations that support the administrative processes.
Essential Responsibilities and Metrics:
- Oversee Concierge department staff which includes Manager of Access, Insurance Verification, Intake and Front Desk team members
- With the support of the manager of access, allocate resources across hours of operation to maximize patient access and satisfaction, provider productivity and efficiency, staff productivity, cost-savings, and operational efficiencies
- Supervise intake team and insurance verification staff
- Oversee timely and accurate cash management system, including overseeing the collection of co-pays and patient balances
- Ensures that new clients have completed intake and have been scheduled in a timely fashion
- Gain comprehensive understanding of individual job functions to identify training and developmental opportunities
- Identify and communicate priorities, timelines and accountabilities to ensure efficient use of resources and to promote an open and productive work environment
- Work with senior management to define performance goals for team and interface with staff to monitor progress, manage disciplinary issues and provide ongoing feedback
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years health care experience including collection and insurance verification
- Experience working within a clinical environment
- Outpatient setting experience
- Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Health Administration (MHA) preferred
- Academic medical center health care experience preferred
