Independent Sales Representative - Yearbook

Yearbook Independent Sales Representatives are responsible for growing their independent sales businesses through customer development within their territories. Activities include developing prospects and signing new business in order to gain market share for your independent business. Independent Sales Representatives will build and maintain customer relationships and work effectively with school administrations, organizations and their advisors, teachers, and students. They will represent the Jostens brand and shared values of accountability to customers, unwavering integrity, responsibility and respect for those we serve.

Independent Sales Representatives are required to successfully operate their own businesses within their territories:

  • Establishing and managing an independent business office
  • Independently establishing business hours and practices
  • Independently hiring, compensating and retaining an office and sales staff (if needed), in the discretion of the Independent Sales Representative
  • Complying with all laws and legal requirements applicable to your business
  • Responsibility for all business expenses, including but not limited to business travel

The full terms and conditions of the Independent Sales Representative relationship will be set forth in a contract negotiated between Jostens and the Independent Sales Representative.

Successful Independent Sales Representatives will demonstrate the following strengths:

  • Sound business management skills to grow revenue while controlling expenses
  • A growth mindset and exceptional initiative to identify, market and develop new business relationships
  • Demonstrated success maintaining many customer relationships simultaneously
  • Proven school photography sales and/or sales management experience (consultative, educational, B2C)
  • Professional judgment and strong business and financial acumen
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Personal discipline and self-motivation
  • Demonstrated personal accountability for your own success

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

  • Bonus pay
  • Commission pay
