Job Purpose:
The HR Manager oversees all policies and procedures concerning employees. This includes creating, updating, amending, and enforcing all policies and procedures. The HR Manager will guide company leaders in personnel planning and management to ensure clear, effective, and legal execution of company goals and objectives.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Administer and oversee company benefits programs and policies including:
- Management of health benefits
- Planning for compensation and position changes
- Management of company policy changes, updates, and enforcement
- Promote company initiatives including company wide meetings and quarterly/annual planning sessions
- Promote a safe working environment, engaging associates to take an active role in safety, ensuring the company is compliant to OSHA standards
- Serve as general advisor on employment law and government regulations.
- Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
Qualifications:
- Experience with HR Software
- 4 year degree in a business area or related field
- Prefer a HR Certification (SHRM, PHR, or comparable)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of HR programs, policies and procedures understanding of Human Resource Information System(s)
- Excellent problem-solving skills (identify, analyze, research, evaluate, resolve)
- Ability to manage several projects of functional areas concurrently
- Proven ability to recruit, attract, and maintain talent
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
