cuisine restaurant. We have a deep passion in sustainable seafood and is combining it with his southern roots to create amazing shareable dishes.
Position : Line Cooks (BOH)
FLSA Status : Non-exempt
Hiring Manager Job Title : General Manager & Owner
Employment Type : Part Time, with the opportunity for Full Time based on performance
Pay Rate : $19-21 per hour, depending on experience.
Primary Location : 770 South Grand Avenue, Suite A, Los Angeles, CA 90017
Job Requirements
At least 2 years’ experience in a fine dining restaurant. Experience in a chef-
driven restaurant a plus.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
High School Diploma or the equivalent
Candidates must be available for weekends and holidays.
Must be able to produce authorized U.S work documents.
Ability to lift, bend and push 50 lbs.
Have contagious & positive energy.
Be a team player.
Able to stand on feet for up to 8 hours minimum.
Able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environments for long periods of time.
Basic written and verbal communication skills.
Accuracy and speed in executing tasks.
Must have valid serve safe card.
Must have clean uniform every shift and must have great hygiene practices.
Must be able to work all scheduled shifts. Call outs due to being sick will require
a doctor’s note.
Primary Job Duties
Have a positive attitude.
Meet the standards as set forth by Joyce in training.
Sets up station and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing and preparing sauces.
Cook food items by grilling, frying, sauteing, and other cooking methods to
specified recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly
handling food and ensuring correct storage.
Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the beginning and at the end of the
shift.
Plating prepared foods based on Senior Chef’s guidance.
Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request
and on time.
Washing, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning the kitchen equipment at the end of
the shift.
Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety
standards and regulations.
Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
