We are currently seeking a Quality Laboratory Technician - Calibration Focused for our Moses Lake Facility. If you are looking to enhance your career with a dynamic company, then we encourage you to apply and join the JSS team!
Summary: Perform tasks related to Quality Assurance testing of Joyson Safety Systems products and materials including propellant, inflators, and purchased chemicals. These tasks include proper data collection, accurate data reporting, record keeping, equipment maintenance, equipment repair and area improvement/growth. This position requires specific emphasis in the calibration laboratory; however, all quality laboratory technicians support all other areas of the laboratory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Recognize and bring all data irregularities to the attention of management.
Required to calibrate , set-up, maintain and operate all required test, analytical and inspection equipment.
Maintenance and repair of all required equipment.
Review of propellant or inflator test documents/data and preparation of test reports. Proper record keeping of all testing performed.
Review of raw material or propellant test documents/data and preparation of test reports. Proper record keeping of all testing performed.
Review of calibration documents/data and preparation of test reports. Proper record keeping of all testing performed.
Participate in the research and solution of problems in the employee’s area of work. Be willing to make suggestions and to take responsibility for proper implementation of approved changes.
Strong interpersonal, organization and communication skills
Understanding of scientific process (basic calculations, unit conversions, etc)
Create and follow work instructions
Gagepack and 6S knowledge is a plus
Employee must wear prescribed uniforms and personal protective equipment while at work.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 24 months technician experience or equivalent (may substitute education/certifications per management discretion)
Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs unassisted
Previous calibration experience and/or understanding of calibration
Attendance reliability
Schedule flexibility
High degree of self-motivation
Proficient with Microsoft products

Pay: $24.17 - $34.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
