As the Reliability Engineer, your duties are to test and evaluate the manufacturing of products and components and ensure that the procedures are efficient and do not lead to abnormally high maintenance or operational costs. Your other responsibilities are to find solutions to product reliability risks. You may manage risk in a supply chain, develop loss prevention strategies, and track the entire lifecycle of product development, from building prototypes to moving a product into full-scale production. You analyze information from department heads and recommend strategies to reduce risk and ensure that the product works reliably.
This position:
- Develops, implements, and audits equipment inspections.
- Works on improving equipment reliability and process performance by applying reliability engineering principles, field and statistical data, and supporting work processes.
- Provides direction and leadership for timely outage planning which is aimed at improving equipment reliability and maintaining the optimum working condition of all equipment.
- Provides facilitation of root-cause failure analysis.
- Works with the warehouse to determine critical spare needs and reviews/modifies boms for accuracy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical) preferred.
- Min 5-10 years of maintenance experience, in absence of a degree (experience can include being a skilled craftsman who had developed inspection skills)
- Understanding of: Vibrations, Tribology, Stress (mechanics), Fracture mechanics, Thermography, Electrical test, Ultrasound test, Corrosion, Inspections
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Project, SAP, and CAD software.
- Technical skills in plant operations and maintenance, cement industry preferred.
