We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our team to drive revenue growth and operational efficiencies through engineering initiatives.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team and drive the success of our software projects. This role demands a blend of hands-on technical expertise and strong leadership skills. You will collaborate with Product Management to define and implement our software product strategy while ensuring the seamless execution of engineering initiatives.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing engineering team through effective mentoring, regular 1:1s, design reviews, and coaching.
- Product Strategy: Partner with Product Management to define and execute the product roadmap, aligning technical deliverables with business goals.
- Project Management: Take ownership of the planning, execution, and success of engineering projects, aiming for revenue growth and operational efficiency through new and existing features.
- Process Improvement: Enhance delivery speed, transparency, and quality by adopting best practices in DevOps, Security by Design, CI/CD, and shift-left testing, and promoting a culture of technical excellence.
- Technical Oversight: Manage the entire software development lifecycle, including development, QA, deployment, and infrastructure, ensuring efficient and streamlined processes.
- Hands-On Contribution: Balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical involvement, assisting with coding, debugging, and infrastructure issues as needed.
- Customer and Operational Focus: Ensure solutions meet user needs and stability requirements, maintaining high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5 experience with SaaS and/or ecommerce platforms, with a strong understanding of modern Cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, Microservices, CI/CD, IaC, Containers, ML).
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience applying DevOps practices in an Agile environment and facilitating architectural and product decisions.
- Autonomy: Ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
- Lifecycle Management: Experience managing end-to-end software development lifecycles, including development, QA, deployment, and infrastructure management.
- Leadership Balance: Ability to balance hands-on technical work with strategic leadership, providing mentorship and support when needed.
