Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our team. The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment, ensuring the premises are safe and sanitary for employees and visitors.
Duties:
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies
- Perform floor care duties including buffing, waxing, and polishing
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed
- Follow cleaning schedules and procedures to meet hygiene standards
- Handle industrial cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Notify management of any repairs or maintenance required
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail
- Familiarity with safety protocols for handling cleaning chemicals
- Strong communication skills to interact with staff and management effectively
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in floor care including buffing and maintaining various floor surfaces
- Background in industrial cleaning or porter services
