Minimum requirements:
  • 2 years experience in a professional kitchen, bakery, or hotel.
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of pastry fundamentals.

Responsibilities:
  • The pastry assistant will be responsible for assisting in inventory, production, and sanitation of the pastry department of 5 Church.
  • Production to meet the needs of par levels, private parties, and events in the restaurant and Virtue rooftop.
  • Assists in the development of the pastry menu.
  • Assists other cooks and co-workers wherever required to provide excellent service for our guests.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of the pastry menu and attention to detail with plate presentation.
  • Proper execution of recipes and understanding of culinary techniques.
