JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Supervisor, this position supports the function of human resource department. Incumbent is responsible for supporting activities of all members of the HR Department.
Support the review, understanding and compliance of all programs, policies and procedures contained in the Food Safety and Quality Management System. Understand that I am responsible for reporting food safety issues observed so appropriate action can be taken. Actively participate and support the 5S and MES initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- Responsible for payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
- Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Internal Contacts:
Officers, Managers, H.R. staff and all Kagome Foods, Inc. employees
External Contacts:
Governmental agencies, prospective employees, payroll administrative company representatives, and other outside contacts.
Education Level and Focus:
High School Diploma, AA/AS degree or equivalent experience; Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification a plus; Certified Payroll Professional Certification a plus
Years and Type of Related Experience Required:
1 year related human resources or accounting experience.

Office environment with many distractions and moderate to high noise levels. This is a Safety Sensitive position.
