What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospital Aide Lead position at Kaiser?
Under indirect supervision, provides functional work direction to assigned personnel through delegation. Assures quality work performed. Assures all policies and procedures are followed. Performs all Inpatient Transportation functions. Run reports from VIP. Assists with orientation of new employees. Assist clients with VIP and other transport related problems. Works closely with the Department Administrator to ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling for the department. Assists fellow employees with work related problems. Performs other duties as directed.
Essential Responsibilities:
Upholds Kaiser Permanente's Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities and applicable state, federal and local laws.
Provides functional work direction to Transportation employees. Coordinate workflow to include assigning work priorities. Responds to and problem solves work related issues.
Responds to emergency situations following established policy.
Assists with orientation of new employees.
Provides information and recommendations, probationary (new hires) and performance evaluations for staff.
Maintain appropriate par levels of supplies.
Checks daily schedule to verify all employees have reported to work.
Provides recommendations to Department Administrator regarding departmental needs, equipment, etc.
Refers unresolved issues to the Department Administrator for resolution.
Performs Transportation functions. Basic Qualifications:
Experience
At least six (6) months experience as a CNA or Hospital Aide in an acute care setting or equivalent; or completion of one (1) academic year in an accredited nursing program that includes clinical experience.
