We are inviting you to apply for our open Grounds Maintenance Manager role. In this position, you'll oversee the planning, development, and implementation of landscape design around resort grounds. You'll be responsible for ensuring that the property grounds is maintained at the best possible condition at all times with the least amount of inconvenience to guests and associates in all types of weather.
The Grounds Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintaining the grounds outside the building to include but not limited to: trimming of grass, trees, shrubs, removal, and planting of all types of plants, as well as snow removal and hazards/obstructions removed.
Experience Required:
- Two (2) years of landscape experience, including layout.
- Knowledge of planting and shrub maintenance.
- Previous supervisory experience.
Experience Preferred:
- Previous hospitality or related experience helpful.
- Previous experience with exterior plant maintenance.
Physical Requirements:
- Possible heavy workloads: exerting up to 100 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects occasionally, and/or more than 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or more than 20 pounds constantly.
- Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching involved.
- Must be able to adapt to the changing weather, i.e., work in warm/humid, hot/humid, and cold/freezing outdoor environments.
- Be able to work flexible and long hours sometimes and weekends, nights, and holidays.
