Purpose of the position
The Product Manager will be responsible for the current Product and Solution offerings including short-to-medium term strategy in the Terminal Tractor’s division. Develop and execute the product strategy for the defined product group(s).
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Develop and implement the strategic plan for the specific product/product group, and create and maintain fact based analyses and present business cases for the new product opportunities. Conduct competitor and market analyses; help to develop product positioning and messages; support the development and delivery of product collateral, sales tools and training.
- Responsible for the current product offering development, including roadmaps, positioning, pricing, options and basic configurations of the current portfolio of eT2, xxx & xxx
- Competitor analysis including offerings, solutions, products, comparisons, and strategy.
- Ensure product profitability through effective product management across a product/product group.
- Responsible for the Product management to ensure market demands and business strategies are supported by the product specifications
- Provide product leadership and support to other functions.
- Initiate and drive the development of new models, solutions, features, and options for the current portfolio
- Schedule and plan the delivery of all product improvements to the current portfolio
- Communication of current solutions, product offerings and product improvements to BL, Market Regions and distribution networks
- Product and solution knowledge to support Market Regions and distribution network
- Schedule, plan and conduct the delivery of Product and solution trainings.
- Identify and consolidate market needs, manage product portfolio and contribute to product development plans.
- Drive a solution set across development teams - primarily development, engineering, sales & marketing - through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
- Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute. Oversee the launch and delivery of new releases to ensure timely delivery of all required deliverables from different departments.
- Participate in external events and presentations.
- Participate in market and sales development activities
What you’ll need to succeed
- Master’s (M.Sc.) degree in mechanical engineering or similar combined with equivalent experience.
- Min 5 years’ experience in product management, with emphasis on product planning and life-cycle management
- Min 5 years’ experience/ knowledge in technical sales, sales support
- Experience in material handling processes (preferred)
- Deep product and solution knowledge of heavy machines (material handling)
- Segment knowledge (ports & terminals, distribution, industry, intermodal)
- Knowledge on container terminal business processes
- Customer knowledge and understanding
- Sales, offering, order process and financial knowledge and understanding
- Strong understanding of value drivers in product offering
- Experience working in a cross-functional and cross-cultural environment
- Experience in product management

o Productization of products service concepts
- Technical skills and understanding on relevant level
- Excellent command of English both written and spoken, other language skills are an asset
