The Opportunity
We are searching for a Market Development Associate to coordinate and support the execution of business development and growth outcomes in specific U.S. markets/states. As a Market Development Associate, you will be responsible for designing market development plans, substantiating business opportunities relative to business investment, and executing market development plans. This role reports to Kami’s Chief Learning Officer

What you’ll do:
- Research focus states through primary and secondary sources
- Analyze research results and identify market development opportunities and challenges
- Create market development plans for focus states that leverage relevant Kami departments such as sales, marketing, and colleagues
- Proactively identify, develop and maintain relationships with education leaders in focus states who may represent state, local, business, foundation, university, and nonprofit organizations
- Deeply understand and clearly convey the value Kami offers focus markets
- Report market development results to Kami leadership and colleagues
What you’ll bring:
- Two plus years of business analyst and or strategy experience with evidence of successful outcomes
- Understanding of the education market, especially with regard to how education policy impacts institutional funding and the leaders who control and influence it
- Experience using CRM and project management tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with confidence in business development. You don’t get discouraged by “no”
- Highly organized with an innate ability to synthesize and present information effectively
- Comfortable with remote and in-person relationship development
- Client-centric in everything you do!
