Job Description
Radiology Technicians, X-ray tech Full time for 3pm-10pm shift with weekend availability.
The X-ray Technologist is responsible for:
- Being able to take good quality X-ray images following Kāmin Health's X-ray protocol in an efficient manner
- Capturing accurate and detailed documentation of the encounter into the EMR in a timely manner
- Providing quality customer service to our patients, adhering to current protocols and work
processes, and successfully managing patient volume without ever compromising quality of care
Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of a X-ray Technologist are:
- Being able to meet general turnaround times for obtaining the more common, but not limited to
other X-ray studies.
- Using all internal X-ray and software in order to properly document and communicate X-ray to the provider.
- Being able to fully document in the EMR in a timely manner.
- Assisting the provider with medical procedures within the Scribe scope of practice.
- Communicating with patients, pharmacies, and providers over the phone under provider guidance
- Assisting with patient flow into a clean exam room from waiting room
- Keeping track of materials needed to copy images to a CD / USB for patients
- Being available for sick call coverage
- Helping maintain a clean, courteous, and professional working environment
- Providing compassionate care to our patients
Responsibilities may also include assisting medical assistants with tasks such as registration, insurance eligibility, triage and other patient services.
Qualifications
A candidate’s qualifications will include:
- Graduation from an accredited X-ray Technologist program
- 12 -24 months experience as a X-ray Technologist
- Explain, process, and position patient for X-ray
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
- Flexible with full time work schedule including weekends
- Ability to work independently, required
- Strong organizational, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills required
- Skill in using a PC required
- Happy and positive thinking, able to project this attitude around others
- Team player
- Excellent bedside manner
- Desire to help others in an urgent care environment
