Position Summary:
The Quality Control - Offense is responsible for working with the Offensive Coordinator and offensive coaches to create scouting and statistical data to be used for preparing the players for the next opponent. Meets regularly with offensive coaching staff to discuss strategy to ensure high quality plays and practice.
Responsibilities of all Positions at Kansas Athletics:
- Adhere to University, Big 12 Conference, Kansas Athletics and NCAA policies and procedures;
- Maintain knowledge of departmental activities, sports schedules and procedures;
- Foster cooperative working relationships with immediate supervisor and staff members who work within or outside his/her work unit;
- Support the athletics departmental goals and philosophies as described by the Director of Athletics, and work to achieve and uphold the department’s mission statement and core values;
- Maintain a positive attitude toward performing job duties and working with other staff members;
- Exhibit professional decorum at all times while representing Kansas Athletics, including routine events and meetings that occur outside of the office and on the road;
- Maintain the confidentiality of all information obtained while an employee of Kansas Athletics including all private, confidential, or sensitive information and ensuring compliance with FERPA, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
- Responsible for identifying weaknesses in plays and suggest new strategies to coaching staff in practice;
- Responsible for overall game day preparation, statistical analysis, video analysis of opposing teams;
- Analyze opposing team strategy, chart tendencies and propose strategic plays;
- Analyze film data on current team and opponents and provide summary report and analysis to coaching staff and players;
- Assist with the coordination of daily administrative support, statistical analyses and opponent preparation within the University of Kansas Football Program. This includes, but is not limited to: The coordination of video cuts and distribution of preliminary offensive scouting reports. Assist self-scouting offensive schemes;
- Assist Director of Player Personnel and football recruiting staff, as permitted by NCAA rules and policies governing non-coaching staff members;
- Support the walk-on program with their research of prospective student athletes on the offensive side of the ball;
- Travel with coaching staff and team to provide statistical support;
- Act as liaison between the video staff and coaching staff in communicating consistent terminology;
- Assist with special projects assigned by the Offensive Coordinator and Head Football Coach;
- Additional duties may be assigned by Athletics Director, Head Football Coach, or their designee.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with student-athletes at an NCAA Intercollegiate Athletics program or high school football programs;
- Technical football knowledge, particularly as it relates to Offensive Football;
- Demonstrated analytical ability, problem-solving skills and solutions focused approach;
- Knowledge of self-scouting and opponent scouting;
- Computer and video system literacy and expertise, including XOS Software and the Microsoft Office Suite;
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines and work effectively with frequent interruptions;
- Must possess a strong sense of initiative and independent judgment, and a willingness to be flexible in managing changing priorities;
- Ability to work well both independently and in collaboration with staff as a team member.
Work Environment
This job operates in both a professional office environment and outside at football-related events, including inclement weather. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and various digital devices, including, but not limited to: cell phone, printer, copy machine, and other related devices. This job requires flexibility and adaptability in schedule and the ability to perform job related duties on short notice.

Moderate travel is expected for this position.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work will vary based on the needs of the football program and as job duties demand. Early morning, evening and weekend work is required.
