Position Overview
A unit of the University of Kansas, the Kansas Law Enforcement Center (KLETC) is the central agency for all law enforcement training in the state of Kansas, training nearly 15,000 students annually in residential, online and outreach programs.
With a $12 million budget and 62 authorized FTE staff (and more than 400 contract/adjunct staff), KLETC serves 437 recognized law enforcement and police agencies in Kansas, providing basic training and continuing education programs.

Hutchinson Campus
KLETC is located on the 173-acre Hutchinson Campus, which has 15 buildings, including two multi-story residential student halls.
Hutchinson, Kansas, is a vibrant town of approximately 40,000 people located about 55 minutes northwest of Wichita — the state’s largest city. Job Description
The Communications Manager oversees all external communications and marketing initiatives for programs on the KLETC campus. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and executing an overall strategic communications plan, and overseeing activities related to public relations, websites, marketing, social media, and project management. The Communications Manager brings creative vision to marketing plans, strategically suggests tactics in a variety of media, and works closely with the Vice Provost to produce high-quality work that meets strategic objectives and highlights the KLETC mission.
