About This Role:
The Nutrition Education Program Impact Specialist will coordinate the evaluation process of community-based nutrition and physical activity education conducted statewide by K-State Research and Extension (KSRE) through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed), a nutrition education and obesity prevention program for SNAP eligible families and individuals.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Establish, oversee and/or conduct evaluations for nutrition education programs and audiences.
Provide leadership for evaluation of K-State Research and Extension's SNAP-Ed nutrition education program to build individual, team, and organizational. evaluation capacity through professional development and technical assistance.
Report and disseminate program impact.
Mentor graduate assistant.
Write grant proposals to support evaluation efforts.

What You'll Need to Succeed:Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree with at least one degree in nutrition, health, public health nutrition, or related field.
Experience evaluating community nutrition programs.
Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
Professional experience with electronic data management systems and evaluation reporting.
Experience in working with individuals, coworkers, and teams to accomplish individual and/or group goals, as evidenced by college, career, and/or community activities.
Understanding of different ethnic and socioeconomic audiences and a commitment to developing tools and delivering inclusive programmatic supports.
Other Requirements:
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
