This is an exciting opportunity to join our Qmee team (part of Kantar Group), an online rewards and market research company with millions of users worldwide. We are looking for a self-motivated entry level Data Analyst, who will bring their knowledge from a data related degree, to work with a team of expert Data Analysts and Data Scientists and a team of experienced and talented developers. Some prior experience or a relevant engineering degree within data analytics and data science technology is preferred.

You will already have basic SQL skills and have a hunger to learn and develop your skills, whilst working with the newest technologies as you progress within the company.

What you'll do:
  • Working with various models to help maintain day-to-day operations and performance.
  • Analyse data from existing models to identify and potentially rectify weaknesses.
  • Running analytics on data to extract statistics and patterns; and translate them into practical decisions. Eventually designing machine learning models and algorithms to give to existing advanced technologies.
  • Work together with the developer team and assist on data/statistics and related tasks.
  • Collaborate with various team members in-order to find the right questions to ask from the data with practical insights and analysis to support decision making efforts.
  • Communicate and present technical information with non-technical team members and collaborators.
  • Transform data using DBT to help make it more accessible to the wider business.
  • You will work with time series graphing services such as Grafana in order to create visualisations, monitor and identify trends.
  • As you progress, you will have the opportunity to work with various database technologies (PostgreSQL, Redis, Influxdb, AWS Redshift).


What you'll bring:
  • Basic working knowledge of SQL - essential
  • A keen curiosity about data, statistics, machine learning and data science
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development along with logical and critical thinking
  • Learning agility and some experience using statistical computer languages (Python, Scala, R, MATLAB)
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications
  • Ability to comfortably work with datasets, applying basic to intermediate statistics (from mean, median, quartile to histograms, KNN, K-means, Bayesian logic)
  • Ability to read, write and query SQL
  • Some coding knowledge and experience (desirable)
  • Experience using web services/languages: AWS, EC2, S3, Redshift, DigitalOcean (desirable)
