POSITION SUMMARY:
Examine, diagnose, treat and manage disorders of the visual system, eye diseases, and injuries. Perform vision tests and analyze results. Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses and medications. Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye. Proficient in fitting CRT lenses.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification and Licensure
OD degree from an accredited School of Optometry
Current State of Hawaii Optometric License
EXPERIENCE:
2 years experience in optometric patient care.
Ability to diagnose most eye conditions that requires an MD referral; Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and understand verbal and written communications; Must be precise, detail oriented and be able to work in a face-paced ophthalmology/optometry practice.
