The goal of a BCDR Technical Account Manager is to partner with the Kaseya sales team to be able to drive customer engagement and product usage through in depth technical account reviews for the data protection and disaster recovery solutions. Additionally, the TAM will own customer success engagements which support the resolution of critical software issues, deployments or related challenges. These actions will support sales growth and reduction of churn. The role reports to a Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build expertise in Kaseya BCDR software modules (Unitrends and Spanning) and conduct in depth Technical Account Reviews to highlight usage opportunity and identify any obstacles
- Share new product features and enhancements, deliver best practice adherence guidelines and provide knowledge transfer as appropriate
- Own the identification and resolution of obstacles for customer using and obtaining value from our solutions. Engage with all department (i.e. Product, tech, Ops) to ensure closure.
- Ensure that a customer has a plan to use available and relevant features (including integrations with our IT Complete platform)
- Position and sell professional services and training to customers to ensure they remain engaged, and their techs are able to best use our products
- Continually keep abreast of new technologies and new Kaseya BCDR products via assigned training, ongoing hands on learning, and ad-hoc additional skill enhancement programs
- Create opportunity and interest for additional modules for Account Managers to drive to closure
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- 5 years’ experience in a customer facing technical account role
- 3 years’ working with data protection and disaster recovery solutions
- Customer Success experience taking ownership managing issues to resolution for key account
- Ability to coordinate different resources and communicate overall strategic plans
- Experience in technical accounts reviews with customers for Saas/Tech solutions
- Strong presentation and communication/interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and leverage appropriately
- Strong practical knowledge across a broad spectrum of Information Technology:
o Hardware platforms (HP, HDS, EMC, IBM, Dell, etc.)
o WAN technologies and TCP/IP networking
o Windows/Linux/Unix OS Platforms
o Business continuity, disaster recovery and design methodology
o Applications (Exchange, SQL, Oracle, etc.)
o Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V/Nutanix etc.) and clustering
o Cloud Storage (e.g. AWS/Azure/Google) and Computing Platforms
o SaaS applications (e.g. Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing client demands
- Comfortable interfacing with various internal technical as well sales focused teams to ensure our customers get the best possible outcome
