Sales Associate

Schedule:

 7:30am – 4pm

 Day shift

 Monday to Friday

 Some Saturdays may be required 8am – 11am

Work Location: In Person

The Counter Sales Associate is responsible for supporting the location’s operational

performance, building, and maintaining strong customer relationships, driving sales, and

fulfilling customer needs in a manner consistent with the company’s core values. Summary of

duties include but are not limited to:

Skills:

 Continuously demonstrating a high-level of product knowledge and technical expertise

of all products and materials.

 Continually striving to learn more about the products we sell and the industry we serve.

 Proactively identifying individual customer needs and offering appropriate products,

and solutions in a consultative manner.

 Promptly and accurately processing sales orders.

 Efficiently and effectively researching products/services as needed.

 Promptly and accurately providing quotes to customers and processing their sales

orders.

 Maintaining the location’s appearance in accordance with Company policy and safety

standards.

 Actively participating in all training opportunities.

 Assisting in the maintenance and presentation of all inventories and displays in the

showroom.

 Developing and maintaining strong relationships with external customers.

 Providing a consistent high level of customer service to both internal and external

customers.

 Providing timely and accurate information to customers.

 Assisting customers in loading products/material into their vehicles when necessary.

 Following-up with customers in a timely manner and notifying manager if/when

necessary.

 Notifying supervisor of all safety concerns, incidents and/or accidents in a timely

manner.

Experience/Requirements:

 Must be proficient in the use of computers and have the ability to learn our parts

management software.

 Must possess good communication skills and possess the ability to professionally

interact with a wide variety of customers both over the telephone and in person.

 Must possess a good work ethic and be able to work well with other team members.

 Must be able to lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.

 Must possess the analytical and cognitive abilities required to accurately enter data into

the Company’s Sales Order Entry System, perform product and equipment research

and follow-up on customer orders.

 Must be able to accurately attend to details and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

 Most possess above average communication skills both verbal and written.

 Must be able to work with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions.

 A minimum of 1 years of comparable experience required.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday

Work Location: On the road
