Schedule:
7:30am – 4pm
Day shift
Monday to Friday
Some Saturdays may be required 8am – 11am
Work Location: In Person
The Counter Sales Associate is responsible for supporting the location’s operational
performance, building, and maintaining strong customer relationships, driving sales, and
fulfilling customer needs in a manner consistent with the company’s core values. Summary of
duties include but are not limited to:
Skills:
Continuously demonstrating a high-level of product knowledge and technical expertise
of all products and materials.
Continually striving to learn more about the products we sell and the industry we serve.
Proactively identifying individual customer needs and offering appropriate products,
and solutions in a consultative manner.
Promptly and accurately processing sales orders.
Efficiently and effectively researching products/services as needed.
Promptly and accurately providing quotes to customers and processing their sales
orders.
Maintaining the location’s appearance in accordance with Company policy and safety
standards.
Actively participating in all training opportunities.
Assisting in the maintenance and presentation of all inventories and displays in the
showroom.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with external customers.
Providing a consistent high level of customer service to both internal and external
customers.
Providing timely and accurate information to customers.
Assisting customers in loading products/material into their vehicles when necessary.
Following-up with customers in a timely manner and notifying manager if/when
necessary.
Notifying supervisor of all safety concerns, incidents and/or accidents in a timely
manner.
Experience/Requirements:
Must be proficient in the use of computers and have the ability to learn our parts
management software.
Must possess good communication skills and possess the ability to professionally
interact with a wide variety of customers both over the telephone and in person.
Must possess a good work ethic and be able to work well with other team members.
Must be able to lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
Must possess the analytical and cognitive abilities required to accurately enter data into
the Company’s Sales Order Entry System, perform product and equipment research
and follow-up on customer orders.
Must be able to accurately attend to details and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Most possess above average communication skills both verbal and written.
Must be able to work with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions.
A minimum of 1 years of comparable experience required.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
