The Kitchen Manager ensures food and services exceed standards of excellence. The candidate will provide daily guidance and motivation to all team members, specifically back of house team members, as well as maximizing productivity, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to food quality and standards.
Kitchen Manager Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage food quality standards by closely monitoring all aspects of food preparation, execution, and presentation.
- Train and manage kitchen team.
- Order food and supplies with accuracy to minimize waste.
- Adhere to financial budget.
- Manage food cost daily and take periodic inventories.
- Maintain a clean and organized BOH.
- Adhere to health department and labor laws and regulations.
- Assign daily work, manage breaks and scheduling.
- Resolve issues and problems effectively.
- Follow existing recipes and optimize food preparation procedures using technology, cross-training, upgraded equipment as necessary.
Kitchen Manager Candidates must possess:
- 3 years in high-volume BOH management experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Work with sense of urgency
- Knowledge of how to read and understand a restaurant profit & loss statement
- Experience with inventory, recipe, labor scheduling management software
- Spanish-speaking, preferred
