The Principal HR Generalist will provide the full breadth of HR support to the KBR Government Solutions US (GSUS) functional executives and teams. The HR guidance and support that is provided to the heads of the operations, finance, business development, contracts and procurement, and human resources organizations includes, but is not limited to developing strategies for personnel and organization planning, identifying and achieving the development needs of leaders and teams, administering talent planning, annual salary review, promotion planning, performance management, and all other HR activities and programs, supporting the recruitment and engagement of their staff, and providing analytic support for their decision making.

The Principal HR Generalist will provide the full breadth of HR support to the KBR Government Solutions US (GSUS) functional executives and teams. The HR guidance and support that is provided to the heads of the operations, finance, business development, contracts and procurement, and human resources organizations includes, but is not limited to developing strategies for personnel and organization planning, identifying and achieving the development needs of leaders and teams, administering talent planning, annual salary review, promotion planning, performance management, and all other HR activities and programs, supporting the recruitment and engagement of their staff, and providing analytic support for their decision making.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality customer service and support to GSUS employees, and management.
- Implement and administer employment policies for effective support of strategic Company and Program Management objectives. Compliance and maintenance of the KBR standards, requirements and procedures for human resources activities for associated workforce.
- Provide guidance regarding the interpretation and application of Human Resources policies and procedures while keeping abreast of current employment law compliance/concerns.
- Day to Day administration of the HRIS functions, including required documentation and workflows on the required schedules. Ensure that all records relating to engagement and pay matters are processed correctly and retained for internal audit and compliance purposes.
- Support worker diversity and anti-discrimination policies across all HR areas.
- Support to the employee performance expectations and corrective action process working with Senior HR and the applicable staff Management team(s) where required.
- Support managers and employees in the investigation of and resolution of complex employee relations issues to include dispute resolutions, disciplinary actions and grievances
- May direct resources, prioritize tasks and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
- At least of 5 years' experience in Human Resources and/or related professional discipline
- Additional experience and/or certifications will be considered with preferred education for a total experience and education.
- Experience in HR policies and procedures, with an understanding of HR best practices, current regulations and compliance. Additional experience in staffing processes and tools for relevancy.
- Working knowledge and familiarity of hiring processes, including resource management, documentation and regulations/compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and executive presence – possess the ability to build rapport quickly with HR team members and key cross-functional stakeholders within and across the business. A customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretion is a requirement of the position.
- Additional desired skills of solution-oriented skills and judgment, mature and professional communication skills, both verbal and written. Proactive and self-motivated approach with an attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure when required for surge support.
- Willingness to lead work teams across the organization.
- Fluent and applicable IT skills- including MS Office suites, HR Information Systems and HR Management tools such as Workday, SharePoint.
