Junior Technical Project Manager
Job Summary: KBR is seeking a Project Manager/Task Lead to provide technical management support to multiple Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) customers at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop or update project and technical roadmaps to ensure timely delivery of projects
- Interface with software developers, test engineers, and cross-functional teams to create and update technical schedules
- Develop plans including budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for several major portions of a program
- Support the program manager in executing his/her mission as single point of integrative responsibility needed to ensure that everything in the program is managed effectively to ensure a successful project outcome
- Perform analytical, planning, presentation, and problem-solving initiatives
- Gain internal support to operate and establish strong working relationships with customers, technical staff, managers, and peers
- Perform a range of project management activities, such as: gathering a variety of program information; conducting analyses; developing program strategies; tracking, and scheduling; establishing and maintaining databases
- Highly effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, and group leadership skills are required
- Effective, proven ability in decision making, problem solving, and influencing others
- Lead Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups, Spring Plannings, and Retrospectives
- Act as Scrum Master for the team
- Plan technical training schedules for members of the digital engineering team
- Streamline processes and mitigate risk to result in accelerated project delivery cycles
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or certifications/coursework in lieu of a degree: Cybersecurity, Scrum Academy, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Project Management, CompTIA Network , Python, Certified Ethical Hacking, Hardware and Operating Systems Fundamentals and 2-4 years of experience
Proficient in: JIRA, Confluence, MS Office, Teams, PivotTables, Jamboard, Trello, Miro, and Smartsheet
Experience implementing Scrum and Kanban frameworks
Security Clearance Requirement: Secret OR ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
