The Camp Counselor is a Spring/Summer job opportunity at KCARC 1972's Summer Camp Program. Applicants ages 16 are eligible for employment.
Shifts will be 6:30a - 12:30p or 12:30p - 6:30p, Monday - Friday
The Camp Counselor is responsible for assisting in implementing all components of the Spring/Summer Program curriculum within his/her designated age group of campers in a manner which is reflective of KCARC’s mission to advocate and provide opportunities in a dignified and respectful manner for the total well- being of individuals and families with special needs and non-disabled children.
Requirements
Must be at least 16 years of age to apply. Possess the ability to use tact and empathy when dealing with children/people of varied backgrounds. Possess the ability to establish effective working relationships. Possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Be able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced work environment. Maintain good hygiene. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
