Job Duties
- Process and enter all gifts and pledges received by Hopkinsville Community College and Hopkinsville Community College Foundation, run reports, document donor activities, and update fundraising database resources in accordance with institutional policy.
- Assist with generating annual gifts through personal solicitations, direct mail and publications, electronic resources, special events, and other special campaigns.
- Support the execution of donor relations and stewardship planning, including targeted donor stewardship communications and recognition events, for priority donors, prospects, and constituencies.
- Develop and maintain lists of prospective donors, prospects, friends, and alumni using customer relationship management systems (CRM). Update physical files.
- Budget management, specifically the advancement, HCC Foundation and public relations/marketing accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely information to Chief Institutional Advancement Officer. Monitor proper stewardship of donations. Ensure that expenses and income are recorded accurately.
- Management of scholarship recipient’s database, ensuring accurate communication between donors and scholarship recipients and all cognizant campus partners.
- Support duties for the Advancement and Marketing & Communications departments, including but not limited to the following: events and event planning, recording and preparation of meeting minutes, maintaining inventory and supplies, maintaining Pathfinder mascot calendar for appearances, and supervision of student worker(s).
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Bachelor degree and two to four years related work experience, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills/soft skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in an open office environment and respond to issues and concerns that affect the department.
- Discretion in handling high level, confidential materials related to the department.
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated excellent database and computer skills. Must have advanced Excel skills.
