We are an ethnic focused (mainly Polish and other Eastern European) grocery chain in the Chicagoland area. Our lines of merchandise include a variety of imported and ethnic label brands as well as unbranded products such as produce, meat, bakery, prepared foods and deli items. We are establishing an E-commerce presence for our specialty and niche products to be able to reach the national ethnic market.
Position Summary
The Ecommerce Director role is to manage all aspects of our eCommerce business including, business planning, content strategy and development, promotional campaigns and other online marketing, website design, customer service, web analytics, web technologies, and order shipment.
Responsibilities
The Director, eCommerce is the head growth strategist for eCommerce and will analyze and recommend actionable insights to drive the business and achieve long-term strategic objectives
Lead site operations and merchandising strategy and conceptualize new features that improve the site experience and performance and maximize revenues
Be customer-obsessed, create and continuously improve the user experience
Develop and implement strategies that improve visitor engagement and conversion across all platforms
Serve as the go-to person for insights and strategic direction related to site traffic and merchandising performance, leveraging data and driving to improve eCommerce KPIs such as project starts/finishes, add to cart and overall conversion
Advance & develop best in class onsite search and personalization capabilities
Adjust the site strategy based on assessment of the competitive landscape
Collaborate with the Merchandising team to optimize pricing, assortment (including online only), promotions and site penetration/expansion
Work collaboratively with Marketing to deliver best-in-class digital marketing to drive sales, profit, and engagement
Driving customers acquisition and topline growth through SEM, SEO, affiliate marketing and display retargeting focusing on revenue goals all while being value and mission driven
Report analytics to understand user behavior across digital channels help improve site engagement and increase conversation of key metrics
Partner with IT to deliver website design initiatives with the objective of driving traffic and revenue to our site
