General Description:
The Inventory & S&OP Manager will be the owner of the day-to-day activities of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and inventory control at KDC. This position will be reporting directly to Sr. Director of Supply Chain. S&OP leader need to consolidate all customer demand at a strategic level and align with supply plan and within S&OP process it needs to be short and long term planning and decision-making process to optimize customer service levels, operating cost, and revenue attainment. At the same time, leads the team in inventory control to ensure the company’s targets and objectives are met to meet or exceed customer requirements, including the team complies with the company safety rules, current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Build, maintain and improve S&OP process best in class and collaborating cross-functionally with commercial, finance, procurement, production and suppliers
Lead and interface with all key stakeholders across all levels, consolidate total demand, perform analysis, and create materials for monthly meetings.
Develop dashboards to provide transparency and a single source of truth across all functional areas to ensure alignment and optimal results
Build and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI), using excel and Power BI
Develop, implement, and maintain a robust project demand forecasting model, as well as review and calibrate on project demand (order and forecast)
Monitor forecast accuracy
Leverage industry best practices and continuous improvement to continually enhance the inventory and S&OP process
Trains, guides, and evaluates new Inventory Control personnel on accuracy of material movement, reporting and reconciliations to optimize employee workflow.
Provides a safe working environment and ensures all warehouse personnel understand and adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, company safety rules, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) at all times.
Ensures that all procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the Company’s scheduled outgoing shipment procedures, so orders are processed efficiently, and that the delivery of finished goods meets customer’s delivery requirements.
Systemically monitors warehouse flows in order picking, goods in, and goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage.
Organize, facilitate, and manage stock takes at regular intervals.
Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Identify errors and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures/ Sustain the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues.
Monitors and maintains stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system and ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy.
Coordinate with Inventory Control Team in scheduling and managing a continuous cycle counting program consistent with company objectives and policy.
Investigate and research w/o and inventory discrepancies. Implement corrective action between customers, warehouse, Customer Service planners, and production.
Process Internal Transfer Form (ITF) and obtain approvals to dispose of slow-moving and obsolete inventory in QAD. Work with EHS to efficiently process disposals to reduce aged inventory.
Handle returns and transfers of excess inventory in QAD.
Assist Ops Planners with Return to Vendor (RTV) in QAD as needed.
Monitor items in secondary locations (i.e. 800, 110, 600, etc.).
Coordinate with customers with physical inventories and monthly usage/reconciliation reports. Conduct post reviews with customers to identify root causes.
Help in book-to-book inventory with customers and QAD as needed.
Maintain updated SOP’s on material movement in QAD.
Interface with customers on an ongoing basis to resolve inventory discrepancies.
Report any FG scrap upon completion of FG reworks to ensure the product is identified in QAD and processed per customer specifications.
Assist in the analysis of yield and scrap issues with customers.
Recommend changes to process and system to achieve long-term goals.
Assist Sr. Director of Supply Chain when needed.
Physical Requirements:
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Capable of standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
Qualifications:
College education or equivalent.
BSc/BA in business administration logistics or relevant field or equivalent work experience
5 years of experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role
Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
Good time-management skills
Good English communication skills: speaking, reading, and writing.
Good math and analytical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Advance PC Knowledge i.e. MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and warehouse management system are preferred.
Strong people and leadership skills.
Flexibility to work long hours during peak season or special schedules as needed to satisfying job requirements.
Ability to multi-task and follow through on project assignments
Thorough understanding of Materials Resource Planning/Inventory
In depth system knowledge of Inventory Management process and systems
Ability to quickly remedy procedural problems
Good interpersonal and customer service skills
Skilled at training individuals of all levels
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP)
Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CPIM) will be a plus
