TPA Compliance Administrator
Job Summary
The TPA Compliance Administrator provides due diligence and day-to-day operational oversight inside our TPA department covering retirement plans and Section 125/Flexible Spending plans. You will be knowledgeable and up to date on all ERISA requirements and will incorporate these into notices, plan documents, restatements, and amendments. You will be responsible for advising the staff team and financial advisors on regulation changes and corrective actions as well as drafting and overseeing client communication about these changes. By creating and upholding proactively streamlined processes followed by all, you will ensure that efficiency and growth continue. Additionally, as a member of the TPA team, you will serve as an administrator to assigned retirement plans. You will rely on experience, judgment, and a high degree of research to plan and accomplish goals to keep the department competitive and within compliance.
This position is non-exempt, is located onsite in our Manhattan, KS office, and reports to the TPA Department Manager.

TPA Compliance Administrator

Responsibilities include, and are not limited to:
Training and Processes:
- Monitoring delegation and review of workflow processes with team members
- Develop and deliver training procedures to team members.
- Setting precedents, adapting processes, and updating training to conform to any regulatory requirements and changes.
- Draft and finalize retirement plan notices sent out to plan sponsors, participants, and advisors.
- Interpreting plan rules to ensure compliance with plan documents, including signing off on all new plan documents.
- Draft and process restatements
- Advise on and perform amendments needed on plans.
- Perform and communicate corrective actions, overseeing that all of these are properly documented.
- Work with our IT Administration Manager to ensure the company is using technology in a compliant manner in the TPA Department
- Highly involved in audits of retirement plans
- Work closely with our KFAS Compliance Administrator to ensure plans remain compliant with Schedule A fulfillment from the Qualified Retirement Plan Agreement
- Internal audit of CRM records to ensure compliant documentation.
- Accounting work on retirement plan annual valuations
- Performing and approving of distribution and loan processing
- Preparing annual reports, to include government forms and other regularly scheduled reports.
- Answering and directing phone calls and emails with clients
- Testing for plan limits to stay in compliance with regulations.
- Ensuring documents are sent, received, and processed in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned
Desired skills and qualifications include, and are not limited to:
- Retirement Plan Fundamentals certification or ability to obtain within 3 months
- QKA or ability to obtain within 18 months
- Research-oriented to be able to find the correct information and synthesize it into processes and communication
- Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain a respected position of leadership from which to influence, motivate, support, coach, and collaborate with a team to achieve desired outcomes
- Detail-oriented with the ability to train and develop the team to maintain strong attention to detail, reducing errors and achieving compliance
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills to manage and carry out completion of assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Driven to exercise independent judgment, follow regulations and rules, and maintain ethics

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
